Linger a little longer by Jay Watson
Watson on his work:
Remember when you were scolded for not using a coaster? Worry no more…. New designs include the intriguing ‘Linger a Little Longer’ Table and Benches, a deceptively understated design with a dynamic twist. Making entertaining that bit more fun (while also commenting on how ‘precious’ we can become about the functionality of furniture, or how oblivious we can be to every effect we have on our environment) the thermochromic finish of the table and benches responds to the heat of any plate, mug or serving dish – or body part – placed on it, to leave an ephemeral ‘watermark.’
IM SO HAVING SEX ON THIS TABLE
Hmmm…I could so totally make that finish with stuff I have laying around the office.
Well, the thermochromic part might be a bit harder, but surely Sigma-Aldrich has gotta have something that’ll do the trick, right?
Pretty sure this is a hoax, but a part of me hopes that it’s something Dr. Nye would actually say. Granted, given how badass he already is, I’m not sure the world could handle it if he did…YES
Bill Nye named my new band.
“WE’RE THE RAPE STORKS, 1-2-3-4…”
New #hairstick, about five inches. Pretty sure it’s ebony or African blackwood. #awesome (Taken with Instagram)
